How Regency Vetting Works

We review each application to decide whether a business meets our standards and is a suitable fit for the commercial opportunities our network supports.

  1. 1

    Business & identity

We review your company and trading details and, where applicable, check that your registered company name and number match. Sole traders, and any details we cannot verify automatically, go to manual review — not automatic rejection.

  2. 2

    Experience & expertise

We assess your commercial trading history (normally at least three years), relevant project experience, the services you offer, and qualifications and professional accreditations appropriate to your trade.

  3. 3

    Insurance & safety

We review evidence of applicable insurance — such as public liability, employers’ liability or professional indemnity — alongside RAMS, health and safety processes and other trade- or site-specific compliance, including DBS checks where relevant. Requirements vary by trade.

  4. 4

    Commercial references

We review the commercial client references you supply and may contact them to understand the quality of your work, reliability, professionalism and whether they would appoint you again.

  5. 5

    Capacity & coverage

We consider your team size, resources, response capability, trades and realistic geographical coverage, so that any prospective opportunities fit what your business can deliver.

  6. 6

    Local commercial opportunity review

Approval is not solely a paperwork exercise. We consider current and prospective client requirements in the areas you have requested, how relevant they are to your trade and services, and our existing network coverage. If we do not identify enough suitable commercial opportunity in your location or for your business, we may decline or defer membership even where your documentation meets our criteria. We would rather be selective than offer membership where we cannot currently see a reasonable fit for upcoming commercial requirements. This is an assessment made by our team at Regency’s discretion — it is not automated and does not represent a guaranteed pipeline of enquiries.

  7. 7

    Decision & activation

Our team makes the final decision and may ask for clarification or further documents. If approved, we will provide the membership agreement and terms for you to review before any paid activation. Submitting this vetting form does not create a paid membership, and membership does not guarantee enquiries or work.

Approval is at Regency’s discretion. We may request further information before making a decision.
